Hey, AsianAG. I think you're on to something there. Maybe I could let him hold ALLLLLL of my credit cards until I drop 27 pounds....(that's how much I need to lose by the way to get down to normal). Hmmmmm....

I know I am rather new on the board, but I've had so much fun since I found it! I am soooo glad that Ann had the link on her "Society of American Girl Collectors" page! I was beginning to think I was alone or rather kooky for loving dolls so much and still playing with them. It was almost an *embarassing* hobby. Since I've joined this board, I feel empowered to have such a wholesome hobby. I'm glad I gave up smoking to fund my new "addiction". I had been smoking for 14 years, and I made a deal with my DH that I would quit if I could get doll stuff instead! Thanks to everyone! I love reading your posts and seeing that there are people out there who love dolls as much as I do!

I'm glad you're so happy here in the board! I can't remember if I ever welcomed you to the board or not, but if I didn't hi there, my name's Kim
And what a great addiction to switch from. My dad smokes and I wish I could get him to find something else to do with his time and money. But your Dh might have bitten off more than he could chew with that deal. I would say Ag is wayyy more addicting than smoking

Ironically, my doll habit is cheaper and healthier!

YAYYY!!! The power of the "AG Force" strikes again!

Congratulations on becoming smoke-free!

Last fall, I made a "deal" with my DH--if I got down to a certain weight, I could keep a doll that he'd paid for half of without having to pay him back; AND, if I got down to 5 pounds lower and stayed there for at least 2 weeks, he'd give me $100 for AG money!!
Bottom line:
I lost 27 pounds, and have my doll (Red-Headed Lissie) and collected my $100--it's been 3 months, and I'm still below my target weight!

Hurray for the AG Force!!!
